GeoServer 1.7.0 RC4

Está disponível a nova versão release candidate do GeoServer 1.7.0. Veja a nota abaixo:

“Today we have a new release candidate of GeoServer 1.7.x for everyone’s testing pleasure. We don’t wish to invoke Zeno’s Dichotomy Paradox, but we are in fact very close to the release. In truth this release candidate only includes six new bug fixes (the most notable regarding projection persistence and Google Earth overlays). If it seems like we’re going release candidate crazy, rest assured that it is only because we want to ensure that 1.7.0 will be a stable release and not a beta that was rushed out the door. Give it a try!”

GeoServer Italian Group

Andrea Aime, um dos desenvolvedores do GeoServer, acaba de anunciar a criação de mais um grupo de discussão do GeoServer. Após a criação do GeoServer-BR, há cerca de 1 ano atrás, agora foi a vez da Itália ganhar o seu próprio grupo. Segue abaixo a nota do Andrea:

” Hi, a quick heads up to all italian users: a new Google Group for italian speaking GeoServer users has been created here: http://groups.google.com/group/geoserver-ita
The group can be accessed either using a web front end, ortreated as a mailing list, depending on the mail sendingsetup you choose when subscribing.
If English is hampering your ability to make questionor understand answers, you’ll find some relief in thenew group :)”

Então, quem não tem uma fluência no português, e muito menos no inglês, tem mais uma opção de obter informações do GeoServer, agora em italiano.
