A proposta do evento \u00e9 difundir o uso de tecnologias livre na \u00e1rea de geotecnologia, bem como fomentar a troca de conhecimentos, pr\u00e1ticas, forma\u00e7\u00e3o em novas tecnologias e entrada no mundo do c\u00f3digo aberto.<\/p>\n<p>A partir de 2013 a OSGeo come\u00e7ou a incentivar a comunidade a criar eventos locais do FOSS4G, para uma maior intera\u00e7\u00e3o da mesma, tendo em vista que nem todos t\u00eam a oportunidade de ir ao evento global, que acontece cada ano em um continente diferente.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fernandoquadro.com.br\/html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/bonn-foss4g-2016-s.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"347\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6389\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.fernandoquadro.com.br\/html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/bonn-foss4g-2016-s.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.fernandoquadro.com.br\/html\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/bonn-foss4g-2016-s-300x174.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Desde ent\u00e3o v\u00e1rios eventos locais t\u00eam acontecido ao redor do mundo, e em 2017 ser\u00e1 a vez do Brasil.
